Low Velocity Impact Simulator

Post by billyscoxjr »

Friends,

I am offering for sale a one-of-a-kind, mobile crash lab. I built this Low Velocity Impact Simulator, affectionately called LVIS, way back in 1995. Over the years, we have done 100's of front to rear impact tests with human subjects in order to study low speed biomechanics, occupant kinematics, seat performance, etc. The trailer is about 36 feet long. It is titled and currently registered in Texas. It is an excellent research tool for performing repeatable low speed impact tests. Seats can be changed out, different bumpers can be added and it produces a very reliable 4-5 mph impact. I need to find a new home for this old friend. You will need a one-ton truck with a goose neck hitch to tow it. I have no idea what something like this is worth. I'm asking $6500 OBO. Please contact me if you would like to discuss it.
