Re: Error 91
Mr. Porter, It is quite difficult to assist when you provide limited information. Do you have a screen capture or picture of the error message? At what part during the process did the error message occur? How was the data collected, through the DLC or direct to module? What was your source of power ...

Re: Direct to ACM - Just curious?
Less than 1% direct to module for me in the last 10 years, and the one time I had to go direct to ACM was because the fuse panels and wiring had been removed from the vehicle.

Re: 2018 Chevy spark
I realize this is a really old post, but I'm going through and trying to provide information on unanswered posts where I can in case someone is searching for a related situation. The 2018 Chevy Spark is listed as a "note 6" vehicle in the Bosch CDR Help File which means you can leave the i...

Re: Occupant Size Classification in 2014 Kia
I'm going through old unanswered posts and trying to answer where I can for the benefit of anyone searching for a similar set of circumstances. The answer to your question, "Is this ‘no’ indicating it is not a child passenger but an adult passenger OR does the ‘no’ indicate no passenger." ...

Re: 2014 Honda Crv
Mr. Brown, Let me preface this by saying that normally I do not answer questions in the public forum because I do not want to discuss specifics of a case publicly. However this is a pretty straight forward question and answer. The answer to your question, "Is there any way the EDR could somehow...

Re: Unsupported Market Code
I'm going through some old posts and see this was an "unanswered" topic. What do you mean "a 2016 Nissan Versa Note with a market code 3?" Are you trying to say the vehicle was manufactured in Mexico? The 2016 Nissan Versa Note still (in version 19.6.1) is listed as a Market Code...

Re: Can't communicate with a 2019 Jeep Cherokee
Bill, Thanks for the VIN which does decode to a 2019 Jeep Cherokee. This one that would be worth researching OEM service information to see what ACM connector and pinouts Chrysler shows for this particular vehicle (based upon the VIN). It is possible the correct cable for this vehicle does not exist.

Re: Can't communicate with a 2019 Jeep Cherokee
Mr. Pultar, I responded to your CDR Tool Group post back on June 5th; perhaps you didn't see it. You provided a 14 character VIN, not a 17 character VIN so I was unable to decode it. You indicated the CDR Help file called for direct-to-module cable F00K108598 and the 387 adapter. The CDR Help file l...

Re: 2015 Ford Escape - Bad event data
Based upon what I see (on my phone) I'd say this is a "factory test". There are alot of "255" values and corresponding FF hex data (unwritten values)

Re: EDR Data Event order Question?
Mr. Matic, It is extremely difficult for anyone to provide assistance without seeing the CDR Report. With that said you refer to the events as "1st, 2nd, and 3rd." How are these events named in the CDR report, and depending on your answer to that question how did you establish the order of...

Re: Toyota Event Severity Status Driver
Detective Maldonado, Event Severity Status was used by Toyota to "quantify" the severity of a collision based upon the time between the first stage deployment of an airbag and the second stage deployment. There are three potential indicated results; Level 3 (most severe), Level 2, and Leve...

Mr. Porter, I have had this happen where I get the message the program is "already running" or something to that effect. When that happens use ctl-alt-del and go to task manager and end the CDR.exe executable. Then you have to restart the program. That always seems to resolve the issue. Th...

Mr. Archer, My first "guess" would be that you could have a bad grey ACM adapter. I would suggest trying someone else's equipment, and assuming it works then piece-by-piece eliminate components until you have identified the bad part. I have seen people have problems with the grey ACM adapt...

Re: Accessing EDR data for liability determination
Mr. Hastings, Body shops and dealers have very limited knowledge, if any, when it comes to EDR data. The EDR data from a 2012 Toyota Camry is accessed using the Bosch CDR Tool. You need to find an expert, someone with training, on the Bosch CDR Tool. The best place to start looking would be http://w...

Further the green light being illuminated does not indicate there is sufficient power to condu...

Re: "Bill to Restrict Access to Motor Vehicle Data, Protect Driver Privacy"
Group, The device is called an Autocyb-Cyblok, and is actually a pretty secure device when locked on the DLC port (yes I bought one). At the time I paid $30 and they are now selling for $95. The web site is http://www.autocyb.com. While it may restrict access to the front of the DLC port, it will no...
