Re: Do pictures show enough to support likelihood of how this accident happened?
Based on the pictures in the present quality and resolution, it is hard to find evidence for a second contact of the vehicles. Maybe or maybe not. But this detail is not decisive in my opinion, as a second contact can occur when the vehicles detach after the primary collision, e.g. due to defective ...

Re: Vehicle vs Bicycle
Regarding a bicyclist's throw distance as sum of flight distance and sliding distance (into final rest position), could your blood splatter mark the POI of the cyclist after flight phase on the roadway? Or was the blood splatter produced during first aid measures or transport of the injured cyclist ...

Re: 2021 Ford F150 Report Question
Usually at Ford, a Yes-value at “large driver steering or accelerator pedal input” indicates that the driver is intending to override the collision mitigation by braking (CMbB) feature. CMbB is designed to help drivers avoid collisions or reduce the severity of a crash. Based on speed and relative d...

Re: edr readings on ice
Spinning on a snowy surface may look like this (see attachment, own measurement data, engine rpm are just before the red zone). For clarification: the data are not EDR data (but ADR data). But they are comparable, because the source for "v-tacho" (speedometer) is also wheel speed.

Re: Any breakthroughs on recovering Subaru Eyesight camera images?
Subaru EyeSight only records data, if the Pre-Collision Braking System is operated. The Pre-Collision Braking System is designed for avoiding mainly head-on rear-end collisions (with other cars). But it has limited capabilities to detect also pedestrians. As you can read in the owner manual https://...

Re: Does EDR informasjon and physical evidence on the car need to match each other 100%?
I remember the appropriate quote from W. Vandiver: “• The acquisition of EDR data replaces nothing in an investigation.....absolutely nothing. • Any EDR data obtained should be considered ‚more‘ evidence, not ‚replacement‘ evidence. • Sometimes extra information raises additional questions.....that'...

Re: desperate for answers
as my previous speaker stated, it is sometimes hard to follow. The best way would be for you to write down (shortly e.g. with dashes) the concrete questions you have. But only those questions, which we as technicians / accident reconstruction engineers can answer, please (e.g. it is not our/my job t...
