Re: MERCEDES-BENZ S 550 2015 WDDUG8CB3FA157099

The error popup really says it all: the CDR Tool can't retrieve data from this module because the module is not supported. The Help file says the S class is only supported in the US and Canada. Are you outside the US and Canada? Once the software communicates with the airbag computer, it asks the mo...

Re: Do pictures show enough to support likelihood of how this accident happened?

Maybe, maybe not. There isn't a lot of detail in the pictures, you can add another set of pictures to another post but to really make sense of the crash someone would need detail, objective facts, and views of the area from multiple angles and probably the rest of the crash report. Using cherry pick...

Re: Bosch + GIT + Tesla EDR For Sale (Brand New)

Hi, I'd need more to go on. Three units...only one GIT then? Is it Hyundai or Kia? What Bosch interface or interfaces do you have?

The way I see it the value of the Forum is it gives us researchable information whether or not the recipient likes the results seems like it's sort of up to them but the reasoning and background information is where the value is.

Re: 2014 Mazda 3

Yes, the 2014 Mazda3 is supported by the Bosch CDR Tool for data retrieval both DLC and direct to module. Why, particularly for litigation, would one want to "trick" a module into anything? There are a number of references to "spoofing" and how that's really bad idea, particularl...

Re: Any breakthroughs on recovering Subaru Eyesight camera images?

For starters, the Bosch Crash Data RETRIEVAL system never records ANY events. In my experience when you talk to OEs they will give you answers based on the questions you ask. Ask an OE for "black box" data and they say "we don't have a 'black box' in our cars." That's true. Then ...

Re: 2017 Infiniti QX60 forward delta-V trigger value

Since it's 563 compliant, it's pretty safe to assume that they're going to adopt the 8km/h (5mph) non-deployment event recording threshold. Apart from that, there was an article in Collision Magazine by Hallman, et al "Nissan Automobile EDR Recording Characteristics" which included the obs...

Re: How long could it take to reconstruct accident?

That's a tough question, "how long" depends on a lot of things. Assuming you're talking about how long it would take to get a copy of a police reconstruction report, that depends on their work load, whether they're waiting for something like a review by a prosecutor or a lab result(s), int...
